Dec. 20, 1900 –
To the Editor The Chicago Tribune
Dear Sir
The book that I
think most important to be read by
the people of the United States is “The
History of Woman Suffrage”, the 4th
volume of which will soon be issued,
bringing the records down to the close
of the 19th century. There is no history
about which there is so much ignorance
as of this great movement for the
establishment of equal political rights for women.
I therefore hope that the twentieth Century
will see the triumph of our cause –
