Natalia Davila was born and raised in Rochester, NY, by her Puerto Rican parents. Her family later moved to Webster, NY, where she finished high school.

In this interview, Natalia Davila discusses the differences she has noticed between her generation and her parents’ generation of Puerto Ricans, the importance of family, and the traditions that she values the most from her family. She explains how she feels about the Trump administration, how moving affected her, and her feelings about not being taught Spanish by her parents. She also discusses the expectations that the older generation of her family have for her and how she views Puerto Rican culture.
