Interview, Leonard Ressel, Howard Ressel, & Spencer Ressel
Spencer Ressel, son of Howard Ressel and grandson of Leonard Ressel, was born and raised in Rochester, New York. He grew up in the 19th Ward and continues to live there at the time of this interview. He attended the School of the Arts for part of his education and was applying to colleges around the time of this interview, with plans to go to the University of Rochester to study engineering and Hebrew.
In this interview Leonard Ressel, Howard Ressel, and Spencer Ressel discuss how the 19th Ward has changed, growing up in the Ward, and their memories of neighborhood activities. Spencer discusses his education, his adopted siblings, and some of his memories of growing up. They also discuss being Jewish in Rochester, their family trips, and first jobs.
