Dear Aunt Mary,
Jim and I send by express our dear=
est love and a muff and boa of Persian Lamb’s wool
to our little god=daughter. It was hard to think of a
gift that the dear child would not already have
and when I saw the ecstasy of a little [mite?]
here over her “pussies” I thought little Nell might
like some too. [For?] fraid you are not ac=
quainted with the fur, I will remark that when
they are soiled you can wash them with soap
and water and they “will [illegible] like new again”
