Dear Emmett,
We would all like to have you come
right away and bring with you some blank
checks on the Union Trust Co so your Mother
can pay salaries.
It seems she intended to return in a week
and we want her to stay until April 1st so
as to drive up with Eleanor when she takes
the station wagon to New York.
Eleanor would appreciate it if you came
here for your vacation because it would be a
weight off her mind to have another member
of the family along who can also drive a
Ford.
It’s not too hot here. Come and sail
these lovely waters with us. You will
see more antiques than you ever met before in
these United States. My island empire of
Dataw has fascinating ruins, -arrow heads,
pottery, church, trees, mills and houses.
I’m willing to guarantee a good time.
Cordially,
Kate Gleason
