Letter, James Gleason to Kate Gleason
A letter to Kate Gleason from her brother, James Gleason. Jim tells Kate about fraternity recruiting and asks for her to send him money.
Oct – 89
Dear Kate;
The great question is settled.
Marx has pledged himself to D.U.
Imagine the howl it caused. Why
everyone talked about it. When we met
one of our Professors on the campus, it
was always the first question for the
latest news from the prospective. We
worked against great odds. But what
could have been the matter with the
Thates. Do you suppose it was
overconfidence. We did not take
our trip to Taughannock Sunday as
it rained. Of course the trip is
unnecessary now. Your letter just
received and also the satchel. Please
send the customary $25. if convenient.
Yours
Jim.
