Dear Kate,-
Yours of April 29th
received. The picnic date was
changed to saturday May 24. Whether
this was done for your benefit or not
I really dont know, so dont thank
any one for it. You must wear a
K.K.G. pin for several of your chapter
will be at this affair. beg borrow or
steal one.
That invitation from Beth Boynton
is all very fine for you, but wouldnt
she be paralized if I turned up
at the wedding, I certainly would be.
Perhaps she dont have wedding cards,
why dont she send one to Broughton?
he would be most delighted poor
fellow, and he will be out in
St. Louis too.

Our boarding club has busted. The
cook wanted more money when
already we were giving her too much.
She boarded a family of three
beside half a dozen friends occasionally
on us, so Broughton closed up and
we are back at Cascadilla. We
lost a power of money on that club.
What does George Brettell look like.
He and I used to be acquainted
when we were very small boys
but I havent seen him for at
least 10 years.
Yours
Jim.
P.S. Please send me another draft.
The Cascadilla managers want some money
in advance, not that they mistrust us but

they are in straightened circumstances.
Please ask mother to put that white
flannel shirt in the satchel.
