Letter, Andrew Gleason to James Gleason
A letter from Andrew Gleason addressed to “My Dear Mrs. Cleveland,” but apparently to his brother, James Gleason. Andrew reports that he has been working hard in the family shop making aprons, wrenches, and plugs, and that six lathe workers have been laid off, three of which lost their fingers on the job. He lists what they are having for supper and mentions seeing their family friend, Emma Michel. He closes by describing a lathe that had been burned in a fire and was sent from a customer in Michigan for repairs.
