Article, “Far From ‘Confused'”
A letter to the editor, cosigned by five high-ranking officers of a disbanded auxiliary police department, presumably written in July 1954. The letter defends the auxiliary civil defense police system that Robert Abbott dismantled in July 1954. This letter is a response to the editorial in the Democrat and Chronicle on July 24, 1954, “Keep CD Shirts On, Men.”
