Article, “City Saved from ‘River Flood'”
A 1956 newspaper article about a simulated flood of the Genesee River. This exercise, organized by the Army Corps of Engineers, tested the Monroe County Office of Civil Defense’s preparedness for natural disaster by staging a flood danger area between the University of Rochester and the Court Street Bridge.
